Zachary R. Mersberger, CFA®, CRPC, AIF
Zach joined Mersberger Financial Group, Inc. as a financial advisor in May of 2011 after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance as well as an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. While at UW Oshkosh, Zach helped to manage the Student Endowment Fund for three semesters, which provides students practical experience in the professional money management realm. Zach was also was enrolled in the University Honors Program, made the Dean's Academic Achievement List in every college semester, and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
Zach is a CFA® charterholder and earned his CFA® designation in September 2018 upon passing all three levels of the CFA® program and being accepted as a member of the CFA Institute. The CFA® designation is the highest distinction in the investment management profession and is globally recognized, giving charterholders a strong understanding of advanced investment analysis and real-world portfolio management skills.
Zach also holds his Series 7 and 66 registrations, his Life, Health and Disability insurance license, the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation, and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation. Zach focuses on working with high net worth clients as their trusted advisor, designing customized financial plans intended to help clients attain personal and financial goals.
Zach, along with his brother Josh, implements and maintains the firm's investment strategies. Zach and Josh jointly manage Mersberger Financial Groups proprietary firm advisory models and together, they have final decision making for all investment choices. Zach is a co-chairperson and active member of MFG's Investment Committee.
Zach's duties at Mersberger Financial Group include helping clients plan for and enjoy a successful financial future organizing client's financial lives, conducting portfolio research and assisting clients in all areas of their planning.
Zach has experience in planning for clients in the areas of wealth management, asset protection, estate, and retirement planning, as well as retirement income strategies.
In his spare time, Zach enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an active outdoor enthusiast. Zach's hobbies and interests include hunting, fishing, running/exercising, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, waterskiing, golfing, swimming. Zach is also an avid fan of live music. Zach takes an active role in community involvement and is involved in or donates to multiple charitable causes. Zach is an active member of the Marshview Conservation Club, the Sheboygan Falls YMCA Board of Directors and he also volunteers for the Sheboygan County Conservation Club.
Zach and his wife Casie reside in Sheboygan with their puppy Howie.
