Josh joined Mersberger Financial Group, Inc. as a financial advisor in May of 2009 after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance as well as an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. While at UW Oshkosh, Josh helped manage the Student Endowment Fund for two semesters, which provides students practical experience in the professional money management realm. Josh was also enrolled in the University Honors Program and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
Josh holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation and the Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP) designation. Josh also holds his Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 registrations as well as his Life, Health, and Disability Insurance license.
Josh focuses on working with high net worth clients as their trusted advisor, designing customized financial plans intended to help clients attain personal and financial goals.
Josh, along with his brother Zach, implements and maintains the firm's investment strategies. Josh and Zach jointly manage Mersberger Financial Groups proprietary firm advisory models and together, they have final decision making for all investment choices. Josh is a co-chairperson and active member of MFG's Investment Committee.
Josh's duties at Mersberger Financial Group include helping clients plan for and enjoy a successful financial future organizing client's financial lives, conducting portfolio research and assisting clients in all areas of their planning. Josh also acts as the Registered Principal for the branch and his duties comprise of supervising the compliance efforts of the firm.
Josh has experience in planning for clients in the areas of wealth management, asset protection, estate and retirement planning, as well as retirement income strategies.
Josh and his wife Michelle live in Plymouth with their three dogs Clinton, Mocha, and Lanikai. In his spare time, Josh enjoys hunting, fishing, water and downhill skiing, and snowmobiling in addition to being an avid runner, golfer and basketball player. Josh is also an active member of the Marshview Conservation Club, the Sheboygan County YMCA Board of Directors, Habitat for Humanity Lakeside Board of Directors and volunteers for the Sheboygan County Conservation Club. Josh is a past member of the Sheboygan Falls Chamber Main Street Promotions Committee.
