Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the latest inquiries on our merger with Merit.

Merit is a nationally recognized wealth management firm and RIA who provides comprehensive planning and wealth management solutions. Learn more about Merit.

LPL Financial is an Independent Broker/Dealer providing support for financial professionals. Learn more about LPL.

Fidelity is a registered broker-dealer which provides brokerage and investment advisory services. Learn more about Fidelity.

Some clients will receive a notification from Fidelity to notify you of an “EFT Link Requested”. EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) is a term Fidelity uses for direct deposit being linked to your financial institution. If you previously initiated a link between your investment account to your bank (for contributions or distributions), the connection was automatically transferred for you for your convenience. This does not mean any funds are leaving or depositing into your account when you receive this notification. If you previously had funds set up to automatically transfer, that will continue on your Fidelity account. If you did not previously have funds set up to automatically transfer, this means your account is set up to withdraw or deposit funds from your Fidelity account to your financial institution when you authorize it for future convenience.

With your Fidelity account, you will automatically be set up for mail as your preference. If you would like to switch it to paperless, you will need to login to your Fidelity account online and adjust your delivery preferences. View Fidelity Online Access Guide.

You will continue to work with your same dedicated Mersberger Financial Group team, your advisor will remain the same and our team will continue serving you to reach your financial goals. The only change is now we will no longer be using Pershing and Cambridge, and now will utilize Fidelity and LPL for our custodian accounts and broker dealer. In addition, we will now offer an extended team of support through Merit Financial Advisors to add additional benefits to our clients in expertise, resources, technology, and more. However, your main contacts and advisor team will continue to remain the same at Mersberger Financial Group. We are excited to provide these additional enhanced offerings for our clients as we continue to strive for excellence service!
